Asking for help is normal

Why we built South Shore Crew around a simple idea: every family deserves a crew, and leaning on yours is nothing to apologize for.

So many parents we talk to feel a little guilty about booking a sitter, as if needing a few hours should come with an explanation. It shouldn’t.

Generations ago, help was often right next door: a grandparent, a neighbor, a cousin down the street. Today many families live farther from that kind of support, and the work of finding it falls on already busy parents.

Small breaks matter

A dinner out, an uninterrupted afternoon of work, a walk on Nantasket Beach. These ordinary moments make everyday life feel a bit lighter.

Familiar faces help

That’s why we encourage families to save favorite sitters and book them again. When your kids know who’s coming, saying goodbye gets easier for everyone.
